Whine or wine?

Filed under: General — flexnard @ 7:48 pm

Surely you prefer wine over whine.  Fortunately you’ll find plenty of both no matter where you go these days.  Look beyond the state of our crumbling economy and envision the future.

The Whine

Economics, depression, it’s all very tiring.  Bail-outs, big players cashing out and corporate executives sitting in their plush penthouses with their platinum-plated ankle monitors.

Local judicial figures everywhere finally being judged for what they’ve done and hopefully being held accountable for it.

Did you notice that all of the underlings in all of the bad, all of the scams, all of the ponzi schemes are taking harder falls than those at the very top.  What goes up must come down, well I guess not all the way down.  The human ladders forming on the sinking ships if you know what I mean.

This is America, if you’ve got the money you can buy anything, even freedom.

The Wine

I was looking to our local wineries for some inspiration and came across NEPA Wine Country and found their site very helpful to my cause.

In the midst of an unraveling and seemingly civilized world I’m going to take sides with Mr.  Hemingway:

“Wine is the most civilized thing in the world.”
-Ernest Hemingway.

Twist, twist, twist – Squeek, squeek, pop!  How exquisite.
